Where do you put a Seresto collar

A Seresto collar is a flea and tick collar designed specifically for dogs and cats. It should be placed on the pet’s neck directly behind the ears and underneath their chin, leaving about two inches of slack for proper fit. The Seresto collar should not be cut, as it could impact its effectiveness and make it difficult to properly secure the collar around your pet’s neck. Additionally, before placing it on your pet check that nothing else is already around their neck such as another collar or necklace. If anything is present remove that item before putting on the Seresto collar. After placing the Seresto collar, adjust it to ensure a snug but comfortable fit by pushing in and pulling out any excess length of the buckle while gently pulling up and down on the slack portion through all points along the length of the strap. Finally, give each end of your finger some room between them and your pet’s skin when tightening which will just allow enough space that you cannot slip one end between them without touching.

Measure the Length of Your Pet’s Neck

Before you can start putting your pet’s Seresto collar on properly, you need to make sure that you have the right size. Measuring your pet’s neck size is essential if you want the collar to sit snugly and provide the best protection possible for your pet.

To ensure that the Seresto collar is suitable for your pet, measure their neck with a flexible tape measure from where it meets the shoulders around their neck to the desired length. Make sure to leave enough room for two fingers so it doesn’t fit too tight but not too loose either. Once you’ve determined their neck size, seresto-collar use that measurement to select the appropriate sized collar for your pet.

Remember, with a Seresto collar, it’s always better be safe than sorry! Make sure that you get the correct size so that your pet stays safe and comfortable at all times.

Properly Attach the Collar

Properly attaching your Seresto collar is a critical step in keeping your pet safe. To begin, make sure that you have the correct size collar for your pet. The Seresto collars come in sizes from extra small to large and are adjustable.

Next measure around the widest part of your pet’s neck and select a fitting size according to this measurement. You will want to make sure it fits snugly, yet not too tightly.

Now, use the plastic buckle-style attachments to connect the two sides of the Seresto collar together, making sure it is secure and comfortable for your pet. Once you’ve done this, securely fasten the clasps by pushing both sides together until you hear a click sound indicating they’re securely in place.

Give Your Pet Time to Acclimate to Their New Gear

Before putting on a Seresto collar, it is important that you give your pet time to become acquainted with their new gear. Start by letting them sniff and explore the new collar before putting it on them. This will make them more comfortable with the addition to their look, rather than feeling uncomfortable and apprehensive.

Once they have become familiar enough with the collar, take some time to answer any questions they may have – like petting or talking gently to them. Of course, if your pet is particularly wary of changes in their routine or unfamiliar objects near their neck, then it’s best to introduce and get them used to the Seresto collar away from other pets that could possibly cause stress or fear. This can be done by placing it far away from other animals until your pet has had a chance to play and get used to being around the item. Finally, once your pet has completely acclimated to having the Seresto collar on, you are ready to put it on properly around their neck!
